Description
At mhs homes, we’re more than a housing provider, we’re a charity with a social purpose, committed to tackling the housing crisis in North Kent and creating communities where people can thrive. For over 30 years, we’ve delivered safe, affordable homes and services that make a real difference. As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest every penny to improve lives and strengthen communities.
Our operating model is simple: people first, purpose always. We work in partnership with local authorities, developers, and community organisations to deliver homes and services that meet real needs. Our culture is values-driven, collaborative, and ambitious—and our people love working here because they know their work matters.
This is an exciting time to join us. We’ve welcomed new executive leaders and are building on the strength of our experienced team to shape a bold future. Following the planned retirement of our current post holder, we are now seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Finance and Treasury to help us deliver on our ambitions.
This is a strategic role for a commercially astute, people-focused leader who can combine financial expertise with a collaborative approach. You will ensure finance is a proactive enabler of growth and transformation, providing trusted advice to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team. You’ll lead on financial strategy, governance, and funding solutions that support our mission and long-term sustainability, while inspiring and empowering your teams to deliver excellence.
You will bring:
- A strong track record in senior finance leadership, ideally within housing or a similarly regulated environment.
- Proven ability to lead complex financial strategies and manage risk.
- High emotional intelligence, resilience, and a values-driven approach.
- A leadership style that engages, develops, and motivates people.
This is a unique opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a clear social purpose and a culture where people love to work. If you want to make a real difference and be part of a team shaping the future of housing in North Kent, we’d love to hear from you.
